TheĀ Mercedes me connectĀ App[3] lets you create your personal account and directly pair your vehicle with it. Simply download the Mercedes me connectĀ App (USA), enter your Vehicle Identification Number in the app, enter the code in the MBUX Multimedia System if available[1] and pair your vehicle. With just a touch of one button you may activate all of your services. Once activated, you may use the Mercedes me connect services like Remote Door Locking & Unlocking[15], Software Updates[7] and many more, all on the go.

Your app will guide you through the activation process, but you may also reach out to your Mercedes-Benz dealer to activate your account and vehicle for you directly. In case you need assistance, please call the Customer Assistance CenterĀ

To register a company account, add your commercial Vans and activate the Mercedes me connect services, please visit your preferred Mercedes-Benz dealer. Prior to your visit, please prepare the following documents and bring them to your appointment, as your dealer will need them to assist you in the activation process:

  • Government Identification or Driver’s License of the company administrator

  • Your personalĀ Mercedes meĀ ID (e-mail or mobile number; if applicable)

  • Certificate of existence of the company (such as W9, secretary of state filing, tax return, or similar documents)

  • Proof of authorization by the company (such as Certificate of Authority by MBFS or a signed statement on company letterhead indicating the person signing on behalf of the companyĀ as company administrator is authorized to do so by an officer of the company)

  • Vehicle registration papers for your eligible vehicles

Frequently Asked Questions

As a Driver, the ability to edit a company account, add users and/or add vehicles is not allowed within the Mercedes me connect App. Only the Company Administrator has the ability to edit the company account within the Mercedes me connect Portal.

To create a company account, add vehicles and/or activate vehicles, please visit your dealer to register your company account, add vehicles and have services activated. Your dealer will ask you to provide the following documents in order to verify and set up your company account:
- Government Identification or Driver’s License for the individual who is the Company Administrator
- Your personal Mercedes me ID (e-Mail-Address or mobile number; if applicable)
- Certificate of existence of the company (such as W9, secretary of state filing, tax return or similar documents)
- Proof of authorization by the company (such as Certificate of Authority by MBFS or a signed statement on company letterhead indicating the person signing on behalf of the company as Company Administrator is authorized to do so by an officer of the company)

For registration of a company account, please reach out to your dealer. Your dealer will ask you to provide the following documents in order to verify and set up your company account:

If you, as a Company Administrator, want to revoke the Terms of Use of the Mercedes me connect services for a company account you will need to login to the Mercedes me connect Portal in order to do so. By revoking your consent for the company account, all services for the commercial vehicles paired to this account will be deactivated and vehicles will be unpaired. Please be aware that revoking the Terms of Use of the Mercedes me connect services, will result in the deletion of your company account which cannot be reverted.

If you cannot see the newly added vehicle within the virtual vehicle garage, it’s likely the vehicle has been paired as a personal vehicle, to the personal user profile. Commercial vehicles can only be added to a company account by a Company Administrator. This can be resolved by using the Mercedes me connect Portal or by a dealer after the proper documentation has been provided to confirm the identity and authority of the individual requesting the account as the Company Administrator. In order to assign the vehicle to the company account, please remove it from the personal user profile. Once this is completed, the Company Administrator will need to login to the company account via the Mercedes me connect Portal and add the vehicle to the company account. This will allow you and the users associated with your company account the ability to view the vehicle in the Mercedes me connect App’s garage under the company account.

In order to view this information, the Driver within the company account must have a Mercedes me ID associated to the company account. Adding additional commercial users can be initiated by a Company Administrator using the Mercedes me connect Portal.

If you, as a Driver, want to deactivate the geolocation tracking of the commercial vehicle, please contact your Company Administrator and ask to deactivate the services while using the vehicle.

If the last Company Administrator of a company account deletes his/her Mercedes me ID, the company account will automatically be deleted. In case a Company Administrator is responsible for multiple company accounts and deletes his/her Mercedes me ID, being the last Company Administrator of such company accounts, all company accounts will be deleted. The Company Administrator will not receive any notification about the deletion nor will other previous users of the company account(s). In case the Company Administrator initiated this by mistake, the company accounts will need to be registered as new by following the steps identified above for a new account registration.

If you, as a Driver, cannot see the vehicle in your virtual garage in the Mercedes me connect App, this could be due to the fact that the Company Administrator removed your authorization. To regain access to view the vehicle, please check with your Company Administrator so they can reauthorize your access. Once this is done, you can select the vehicle again from your Mercedes me connect App garage view, if the vehicle is available and not currently in use by another Driver.

Use while operating a motor vehicle, results in an increased risk of endangering oneself and others. Please follow all applicable federal, state and local laws and restrictions.

The availability of services in addition to the integrated Communication Module for Digital Services (LTE) depends on the network coverage of the mobile network provider. The Communication Module for Digital Services (LTE) is not available in the US Virgin Islands or Puerto Rico. The Communication Module for Digital Services (LTE) is equipped in the Sprinter (as of MY 19) and optionally equipped in the Metris (as of September 2019 production, MY 20).Ā The availability of certain features may be limited at the current time.

By using the Accident and Breakdown Management service, the vehicle data and location are collected. Accident and Breakdown Management is only available in conjunction with the Emergency Call System. The Communication Module for Digital Services (LTE) is required to use the Accident and Breakdown Management service.

When the Emergency Call system is triggered, the following data are automatically transmitted: vehicle identification number, GPS position, direction of travel, time of the emergency call, language setting, and number of occupants in the cab. The Emergency Call system is activated from the moment the vehicle is delivered to the customer following a sale. No separate terms of use have to be accepted. The Communication Module for Digital Services and the emergency call button are necessary for use of the Emergency Call system service. The availability of the service in addition to the integrated Communication Module for Digital Services (LTE) depends on the network coverage of the mobile network provider. The Communication Module for Digital Services (LTE) is not available in the US Virgin Islands or Puerto Rico.

Update times, content, and installation times can vary. Updates to the Communication Module (LTE) are automatic, as otherwise certain applications might no longer work. You can access the current status of the software via theĀ Mercedes me connect App.

The information from this service is shown on the touchscreen of the MBUX Multimedia System. Live Traffic Information can only be used in conjunction with the MBUX Multimedia System with 17.8 cm (7-inch) touchscreen and navigation or the MBUX Multimedia System with 26 cm (10.25-inch) touchscreen. While the navigation system provides directional assistance, the driver must remain focused on safe driving behavior, including paying attention to traffic and street signs. The driver should utilize the system's audio cues while driving and should only consult the map or visual displays once the vehicle has been stopped in a safe place. Maps do not cover all areas or all routes within an area. Please follow all applicable federal, state and local laws and restrictions.

A valid subscription to Live Traffic Information is necessary to use Car-to-X Communication. Car-to-X Communication can only be used in conjunction with the MBUX Multimedia System with 17.8 cm (7-inch) touchscreen and navigation or MBUX Multimedia System with 26 cm (10.25-inch) touchscreen. Only the data of vehicles directly affected by the event and equipped with Car-to-X Communication are processed, therefore you may not always receive a timely warning of hazards through this system.

The WiFi-Hotspot is offered via an integrated SIM card, but data plans are provided by a third party service provider and not within the control of Mercedes-Benz USA, LLC. The WiFi-Hotspot requires a contract and an active account with the service provider, in order to access data services. This contract can be made with the help of the MBUX Multimedia System or a mobile device. The Mobile device needs to be connected to the WiFi-Hotspot of the MBUX Multimedia System. Mobile devices are sold separately. Activation and deactivation of the WiFi-Hotspot is only possible via data contract with the service network provider. Additional costs and other limitations may apply, see also footnote 14. Internet connection and speed depend on availability and strength of cellular signals at your present location. Some services are only available on select vehicles. A MBUX multimedia system with 17.8 cm (7-inch) touchscreen and navigation or satellite radio or the MBUXĀ multimedia system with 26 cm (10.25-inch) touchscreen is required for the WiFi-Hotspot service. The Driver is responsible for complying with traffic and other laws.

In order for us to offer you the service Maintenance Management, data is transferred from the vehicle to Mercedes-Benz. This data includes the vehicle identification number, mileage, service code (A or B), as well as remaining time and mileage until the next service is due and information on the brake system and coolant.

The Online Map Update service is only available in conjunction with the MBUX Multimedia System with 17.8 cm (7-inch) touchscreen and navigation or MBUX Multimedia System with 26 cm (10.25-inch) touchscreen. The service must first be activated.

To ensure your vehicle has the technical capability to use the services of Authorized Fleet Services Providers, please check with your respective Authorized Fleet Services Provider. Connecting to our Authorized Fleet Services Providers require a Communication Module (LTE), see footnote 4, vehicle cellular connectivity and availability of vehicle GPS signal. The availability of certain features may be limited at the current time.
